Planting Trees Together
At The Calculator Site, we are passionate about our planet. As well as supporting local projects, we continue to fund international initiatives to plant trees, fight deforestation, and help wildlife in important areas of the world, such as the Amazon, Madagascar, Nepal, and Nicaragua. Trees are the lungs of the earth, and the future of our world depends upon us protecting them.
Scientists agree that we're now entering a critical time - one where mankind must come together to drastically cut carbon emissions, and reverse the dangerous impacts of climate change. Only by doing so will we safeguard our world for future generations, as well as for all the animals and wildlife that share this world with us.
8 Billion Trees is a social enterprise run by Michael Powell and Jon Chambers. It carries out large-scale tree planting and tree conservation operations, to fuel positive environmental change and defend animal habitats. They also care for displaced and hurt animals by utilizing wildlife sanctuaries and veterinary clinics focused on devastated and deforested areas.
The Hazell family, as owners of The Calculator Site, first partnered with 8 Billion Trees in 2019. We have so far helped to plant over 12,000 trees, and conserve an additional 120,000 more.
